Ether, what have we been told about typo-calling in the comments? Play nice, nobody’s perfect.
And as for our dearly weird-talking little girl there, this leans me back towards the theory that she’s alive, but not human anymore, possibly one of the Fractured… a really well made one.
In all cases, we now get to see an example of why they’ve brought him along; a potential heavy-hitter to overpower the regular magic users and the sentinels.
I’ve been told anything about pointing them out. I figured that sense none of the other authors who’s work I read encourage people to point out typos and grammar mistakes that it really wouldn’t be a big deal.
Mira’s bracelet, the one that’s she’s always subconsciously touching, has a bright/glowing blue stone on it probably to control her nanomachines…
@Ether, when pointing out the typos of others, it helps if you don’t have typos of your own. “Sense” for “since.” “I’ve been told anything about pointing them out” makes no sense, perhaps it’s “I haven’t been told….”
And poor kid, now his girlfriend’s a ghost. I would say something about leading him about, but that’s what girlfriends are usually like. (At least the good ones.) 😉
Yep, definitely not Mira, for one simple reason – too confident.
I don’t think Mira’s dead, though – I think either the Fracture created a duplicate to keep Cytx company, or the mask is making him see what he wants to see, and he wants to see Mira. She’s confident, inspiring, and in love with him because that’s what he wants her to be. The real Mira’s probably in the castle (or the Rus embassy), being tended to by medics/clerics.
I hope it’s a robot duplicate – I want to see Mira/Mira catfight!
@Azure But here’s the thing, I know that I have bad grammar and I was just trying to be nice. Can you really say the same?
The Cytx mask theory doesn’t work because he’s taken it off. The counter argument is that he’s never taken it off and we’re only seeing what we want to see which could be supported by the idea that both his and Mira’s mask have disappeared.
Don’t worry Ether, we’re not getting at you, and I didn’t realise you hadn’t been reading the author’s comments at the top right of the page as you went through; Drowemos is dyslexic, so any typos he’s happy to adjust, but we shouldn’t point them out here.
Incidentally, as far as Mira goes, in an earlier comment I mentioned that unlike Ctyx, there’s no scene where Mira is shown taking off her mask. She’s holding one, sure, but that might be her taking it from Ctyx to show him what she’s talking about… so we still don’t know for sure if she’s really there, or if she’s a Fractured made copy to keep Ctyx pliable for their plans.
And yeah, I agree with Deanatay, to a degree, I want to see Mira meet ‘Mira’. Not only to finally lay the issue to rest, but also to see Ctyx’s reaction ^^
Point of note, that could be the trigger that makes him go berserk again and cause the chaos that I just *know* has to happen. Drowemos isn’t introducing new characters like this for no reason, there’s something properly mental about to happen XD
And is *anyone* going to point out how awesome Neils is being right now?! He’s a legend!
@Either, sadly, you’re not coming across as “nice,” and you yourself knowing your grammar is bad doesn’t automatically mean the rest of us do. (Which btw, if you know your grammar is bad, and didn’t read the author’s commentary, makes you LEAST qualified to be posting corrections. I was being as “nice” as you were.)
See, I read the comment a few strips ago, and it didn’t say “don’t point out typos”, it said “don’t bitch that typos are ruining the comic”. The latter is rude, the former is just being helpful.
Be a Producer! Your name/title with an optional SFW hyperlink will be posted prominently HERE following the close of the month! You’ll also receive monthly mailings from Exiern’s author, Scott T. Hicken!
That settles that, she’s dead.
ugh random encounter. dice fail.
Its we’re not were. I think the girl’s been modified.
It’s not a typo, just a clever reference to her new nature as a “were”bear. She got infected by those claws, obviously.
Okay, so anyway, anyone here who thinks that’s really her? Anyone at all? Well, could always be possessed that wouldn’t be her then…

he is kicking the collective asses of magically powered doll people wtf did they feed him as a child?
@kwah, yes, he is. he’s the personal guard of the KING himself. I’d expect him to be strong.
Are we even sure he’s human? I mean we never see him out of armor.
Remember when guards were incompetent? Yeah I don’t miss that. This is pretty awesome.

Like the “switch sword hands” maneuver in panel 4.
Looks like Edward Icesword Hands is about to get an armored elbow to the jaw.
