Yeah, it was a sucker punch, but so was her punch on the king from earlier. In fact, I can’t be sure, but Tiff might have punched more people in surprise than in a “fair” fight. Then again…barbarian. Survival over honor…duh.
She never made out with any guy .. she *has* kissed a dragon spawn though. 🙂
As for the punch joke, I’m guessing she’s referring to the bit where Tiffany tried to convince Peonie that a punch to the jaw was a sign of respect among barbarians, just before the King butted in, claiming it needed work.
So it’s quite ironic that he uses it himself. 🙂
Only issue I have with this page is that… oi… the lighting effect from the window feels really overdone. It winds up commanding the entire page, which I’m not sure was your intent.
See, Tiffany’s totally OK with sucker-punching. In fact, the King just went up in her estimation from “blackmailing, decadent old goat” to “potential drinking buddy.”
Sooo, if Typhan-Knee’s kind respected women they don’t sleep with them. And if they sleep with them, they don’t respect them. At least that’s how I interpret that statement in panel three. Yikes. It looks like the brotherhood aren’t the only ones who need lessons in accepting the female gender. >:(

No, she just made out with the one guy.

Looks like with no immediate life-or-death combat going on, Typhan Knee’s identity crisis is coming on strong once more.
…
I wonder how much time Thad has left before his mutation starts. :-\
Excellent philosophical and social commentary should always be relegated to one panel, ha!
Although, I have to say, the entire comic has been addressing that since day 1. One reason I’ve enjoyed it.
love the comic!!
panel 2 cracks me up. It looks as if Peony has her hand on Tiffany’s boob.
hee hee!!

Random thought: I love the musculature on Tiff’s arms on this page.

Rage: well, that’s one way of looking at it
…what, no cracks about a “punch line”?
I’m so disappointed.
AAARGH! FLARGLARBLE!
How is it even possible to use “you’re” correctly and then immediately get it wrong in the next sentence? In the same speech bubble no less?
