About Christmas
We are tired. Studio Boom is burning the candle at both ends to keep up with work family and this comic. I am desperately searching for a job as my current assignment is ending Feb 1st. We are beat.
So this Christmas as a present to ourselves there will be no update of Exiern. Sorry about that but we need the week just to catch up.
Dude … that’s how men talk, they call themselves Dude
no! Tiffany should not be so girly! I wanna see Tiff and Peonie lip lock and- I’ll stop at that.
Did she really squee? Honestly?
squeee like a ferret. You have any idea how insanely deadly a ferret is?
I’m so happy to see Denver again although I’m wondering what happened to him when he ran into the Forbidden Forest. (That place is really dangerous; they don’t get names like that to attract tourists.) I suppose we’ll find out soon enough.
But I’m getting tired of the gender transformation. When it happened to Typhan-Knee, I was intrigued. When it happened to the male nix, I was amused. Now it’s just gotten to be a tired running joke, with the constant transformations used for endless sexist gags about ripped bodices, lesbian kissing, chick fights, shopping and wrestling in pudding. Yawn.
I simply want to see Typhan-Knee struggling to deal with his (her?) emerging feminine side. That’s enough to carry the story for me.
Coming back to reread this after so many years of progress in this comic it now makes perfect sense 🙂
I want him to stay a her.
I kind of do too, now. She’s showing some real heart here.
Raging: I didn’t mind the ‘endless sexist gags’ (sometimes leveled against men) as such, and I’m not going to complain about cheesecake, but I agree there are *other* jokes that can be leveled. And from what I’d seen in earlier strips there does seem to be a backstory to this world. Which means there’s opportunity toward a more serious plot. Um… I guess I’m not even arguing with you. :^)
